WHAT IS SIFE ?
Students In Free Enterprise (SIFE) is a global, non-profit organization that is literally changing the world through highly dedicated student teams on more than 1600 university campuses in 40 countries.
SIFE offers these students the opportunity to develop leadership, teamwork and communication skill through learning, practicing and teaching the principles of free enterprise, thereby improving the standard of living for millions in the process.
Guided by distinguished faculty advisors and supported by businesses around the globe, SIFE Team teach important concepts through educational outreach projects, including market economics, entrepreneurship, personal and financial success, and business ethics to better themselves, their communities and their countries.
Each year, SIFE competitions are held worldwide, drawing together thousands of students and business leaders to pay tribute to these extraordinary educational outreach projects.
SIFE has been helping others achieve their dreams through free enterprise education for more than 25 years. Today SIFE is the world’s preeminent and largest university based free enterprise organization.
PHILOSOPHIES
We believe that by working together as a team to teach principles of free enterprise, SIFE students are improving the quality of life and standard of living for million of people-literally changing the world . Specifically, SIFE students teach:
- How free market work in the global economy
-How entrepreneurs succeed by identified a market and then profitably and marketing a product or services to fill that need.
- The personal, entrepreneurial, communications, technological and financial management skills needed successfully compete.
- Practicing business in an ethical and socially responsible manner that supports the principles of the market economy.
Basically, we teach students how to work, manage , and lead beside our main activities revolves around business.
HISTORY OF SIFE
SIFE commenced in the United States in 1975 and was funded by National Leadership Institute’s Robert T. Davis, a Texas attorney. Originally, a regional project, SIFE was funded by Southwestern Life Insurance and its chairman, the late William Seay. Each autumn, teams of university students were invited to attend leadership training programs where they learn the principles of free enterprise and developed leadership skills. They were challenged to go back to their campuses and conduct projects in their communities.

To provide college students the best opportunity to make a difference and to develop leadership, teamwork and communication skills through learning, practicing and teaching the principle of free enterprise.
