Vision
To make SIFE UiTM Sarawak as a trusted organization within the local community in 10 years time
SIFE UiTM Sarawak has been actively involved in projects starting year 2010 where we were finally being exposed to the real meaning of SIFE and all the elements required in order carrying out a project.
To date, SIFE UiTM Sarawak has carried out 3 main projects namely ‘SIFE Entrepreneurship Expedition’, ‘Lundu Paradise: Expedition to Promote the Cottage Industry’, and ‘Kiosuku Project’.
In the first project, ‘SIFE Entrepreneurship Expedition’, we made a site visit to ‘Apong Sugar’ production process and ‘Perkasam Udang’ or preserved prawn, an authentic Sarawakian delicacies that is as good as ‘Cencaluk’.
Our second project, the ‘Lundu Paradise’, we went to Pandan Village in Lundu area which is nearby a seaside and beach area. We were interested with the ‘Keropok Lundu’ produced by the villagers. They have that unique Sarawakian keropok taste that you will never find elsewhere. Somehow, the market is only focused to a narrow local market.
Third would be the ‘Kiosuku Project’. ‘Kiosuku’ is a word in Japanese that means ‘kiosk’. We have our very own kiosk with monthly rental of RM 50 per kiosk. We sell various types of delicious food and delicacies that would make our customers back for more. Aside from giving opportunity for students to earn income, this project also teach student about the core element of SIFE – entrepreneurship. Students also improve their communication skills by interacting with the customers.
Now SIFE UiTM Sarawak is seeking for more business ideas and projects from students. Everyone is encouraged to contribute their ideas and suggestions.
